Facebook and Open Graph is going to take over the world.  I’m scared, y’all.  I’m scared.

Not So Wise

When I was 15, I had my lower wisdom teeth out.  I was anesthetized because they were impacted, and I swelled like a balloon for about 5 days.  My uppers, on the other hand, were untouched because they were coming in straight and presented no problems.

Well, until now.

Honestly, when my dentist gave me the option of either filling the small cavity in my right third molar or extracting both of the suckers, I thought it was prudent to remove them.  Now, as I sit with my fifth day of mouth pain, I feel quite unwise.

Tuesday, I return to the dentist for a checkup, and I swear if I’m not 100% better, I’m demanding Vicodin.

I am trying to build a plastic museum…

I’m not saying this is the best day of my life, but it’s pretty close.

Acting, a Plan

Making a plan can help you take control of a seemingly uncontrollable situation (say, oh I don’t know, your acting career).  At the very least, creating a plan can help you feel like you’re taking control, which is, frankly, good enough in this life.

Acting, of course, is not like most other careers.  There is no obvious line that you can follow straight into middle management.  It’s more like a hansel-and-gretel-esque breadcrumb-finding trek through dark, treacherous woods.  So, it’s good to make a map, even if you are only guessing at the course.

My latest “map” is simple:

  • Write 3 hours a day, and get my writing packet together.
  • Get new headshots, and do a mailing for theatrical agents.
  • Finish my reels.
  • Complete Sparklepuss projects.
  • Bicycle daily.

Hold me to it, folks!
