Crummy Night’s Sleep

Last night, around 2 a.m., our neighbor (with whom we share a balcony) was apparently going on some kind of drunken rampage, screaming, swearing, slamming doors, and pounding up and down the stairs to her apartment.

Los Angeles Police Department Detective Richard Wheeler said the district attorney reviewing the facts of the case declined to prosecute Lovato, 26, after he determined that “Mr. Lovato was acting in self-defense in the incident.”

My apartment community’s raging indifference to the tragedy that occurred Sunday morning is palpable. I specifically asked them to clean away the blood that is still on the hallway walls. There’s still blood spatter on the hallway walls. It’s not a lot, but you’d think someone would clean it up.
We got a letter today from the apartment complex telling us to make sure to “be safe” in the parking garages. What a joke.

The suspect of the homicide is the lead singer of this now-defunct band, Mest. They have a song called “Kiss Me, Kill Me.”

There was a homicide in the parking garage in my building at around 8 am this morning.
Thank God we are moving this week.
